Different Debt Data with Prabowo, Sandiaga alludes to Exchange Rate Differences
IdNasional. Presidential candidate number 02 Sandiaga Uno admitted the difference in the amount of debt data borne by each Indonesian child between himself and his partner, Prabowo Subianto, was only a matter of exchange rates.
What is clear, he said, is that in any number Indonesia does have a large debt problem.

Previously, Sandi said that currently every Indonesian child has borne a debt of Rp13 million. This was conveyed by Sandi during a campaign at Pantai Mutiara, Bantaeng, South Sulawesi.
Sandi, who at that time saw a mother carrying a toddler named Ifa, said she hoped that Ifa and other toddlers would not bear the current government debt burden.
"Because Indonesia owes a lot, Ifa now owes thirteen million rupiahs. So we will repay the debt in 2019 so that Ifa will be happy and have no more debt," Sandi said in a written statement from Prabowo-Sandi's Media Center Team on Tuesday
While Prabowo while addressing the Gerindra Party Confernas event, at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor, on Monday, said that newborn children had borne a debt of Rp9 million, or a difference of Rp.4 million or 44 percent lower than the calculation of the password.
"We all have debts. Even your child is born, has a debt. The debt is more or less, 600 dollars. So, your debt is 600 dollars. About 600 dollars, how much? Yes, about nine million. Your son is new, the debt is nine million, "he said.
Sandi continued even though the amount of debt data was different due to the exchange rate difference, between him and Prabowo both conveyed the message that Indonesia had the same problem, namely debt.
"But the point is that we have a debt problem that is above Rp.5 thousand trillion and we inherit it to our children and grandchildren," Sandi said.
Furthermore, Sandi said, his party continued to be committed to reducing Indonesia's debts which are now increasingly accumulating.
This will be done if trusted and elected president and vice president in April. One of the ways taken is to hold back on imports that are often carried out by the current government.
"Prabowo-Sandi wants to change that trend. We want more disciplined management of our finances, we want to strengthen our exports, we increase our revenues, we reduce our expenses, we reduce our imports so we have more funds starting to pay in installments," said Password.
