Prabowo: We Can't Lose, If We Lost This Country Extinct

"We cannot lose. We cannot lose. If we lose this country can be extinct," Prabowo said while delivering a speech at the Gerindra Party Confernas event held at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor, West Java, Monday.
This extinction could occur, he said, because the elites had become more and too long in power with wrong steps and methods. According to him, this condition has caused high social inequality in Indonesia.
This wrong system, according to him, must be immediately changed and resolved because the longer it will weaken the country. "And I say, if this system continues it will cause Indonesia to be weak. Indonesia is getting poorer, and increasingly powerless, even extinct," he said.
He also pointed out, in the analysis of various experts, the income of Indonesian people currently reaches 4,000 USD per capita per year. But, from the 4,000 USD, he continued, 49 percent or half of it was controlled by only about one percent of Indonesia's population.
"So if we pull out one percent, our income is only half as much as 1,900. That is my advisor, Mr. Fuad Bawazier. So if we pull out one percent is half. We per capita is not 3,800 dollars, but half, 1,900 , 1,900 dollars per capita, which means divided equally, "Prabowo said.

"So our wealth is actually only 1,300 USD per capita," Prabowo said.

With such minimal income, Prabowo then equalizes Indonesia's current position with some underdeveloped countries that are even facing war, such as Rwanda, Afghanistan, Chad, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso and several other countries.
