Sandiaga Uno Forbid Volunteers Use the term 'Cebong' for Jokowi's camp
KolomFakta. Candidate for Vice President number 02 Sandiaga Uno forbade his supporting volunteers from using the term 'cebong' which is often aimed at supporters of Jokowi-Ma'ruf, his political opponent in the 2019 Presidential Election.
The ban was stated because Sandi did not want to drop each other in a political contest this time, but rather exchanged ideas and programs.
"I convey, we avoid politics that overturn each other. Don't use the word 'cebong' anymore, it's a vocabulary that I forbid to volunteer friends," Sandi said in the Meruya area, West Jakarta, Thursday.
Not only banning the cebong designation, Sandi also reminded his support volunteers to be careful when spreading information that was not yet clear. Even Sandi threatened to give disciplinary action to his volunteers who were found spreading hoaxes.
"If there are more than 7,000 volunteers who are still contaminated (hoax), one enlightenment must be given and disciplinary measures must be given," Sandi said.
On that occasion, Sandi also asked his volunteers to dare to convey ideas and strengthen economic issues that are currently becoming a polemic in the community.
"We convey what is really happening now, economic issues, jobs, high prices," he said.
The term 'cebong' lately is often used as a term for Jokowi's supporters in the 2019 Presidential Election. While supporters of Prabowo-Sandi are often referred to as 'kampret'.
On the other hand, PDI-P politician Masinton Pasaribu was able to convey the term 'cebong' and 'kampret' which were often used to support two camps, should have been eliminated. It hopes that there will be no dichotomy or division in the community.
Some religious leaders also requested that no more 'cebong' and 'kampret' be called. This was conveyed by the founder of the Darut Tauhid Islamic Boarding School Abdullah Gymnastiar aka AA Gym and Chairman of the MUI Advisory Council Din Syamsuddin.
